Artist's Statement

My emphasis has always been the human face and form.  To me the face represents the honest essence of my subject - naked and vulnerable.   In its ridges, clefts and grooves, I find a rich abstract landscape, which I put down as directly and as raw as I possibly can.   The challenge of depicting humanity through images I develop is the force behind my creativity and art.
