Why I love Chicago...

"I was born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago.   I attended elementary, high school and college in this pulsating city.   As a Chicagoan, I was installed with Midwestern values, work ethics and friendliness.    Chicago's museums, Art Institute and magnificent lakefront are treasures that soothe my soul and fill my well.    It is a city of team loyalties and diversity.   It is a city that adapts and evolves to meet the demands of its residents.    Throughout the world, Chicago is known for its hospitality, cuisine and culture.    Rich aromas waft through neighborhood streets.   Tasty restaurant delicacies are an adventure in culinary art.    Music?   Chicago offers Polka, Jazz and Gospel Fests to name a few.   And of course Chicago is the birthplace of the Blues.   From its early roots on Maxwell Street to the north side clubs, Chicago has extended its arms to blues legends like Buddy Guy and Koko Taylor.   Tell someone you are from a suburban town, you usually get a confused look.   Tell them you are from Chicago, you make a connection and get a smile!"
