Artist's Statement

"I enjoy art that is narrative, humorous and entertaining.   Children of my generation were inundated with daily cartoons.   I was a latch-key kid reared solely on cartoon and video game-based babysitting.   My work represents this altered perception.   I have taken particular moments in my life, and have placed it through this animated, cartoon-like filter.   My work tries to show this struggle with reality.  Plus they are silly.

In addition to showing at many fine Chicago galleries, I've been a public school teacher for the past nine years.   I live with my wife Pam and a zoo full of animals."
