As an abstract artist, my goal is to create an environment that awakens the soul.   To accomplish that, I meditate for a time.   During this meditation process, I feel the painting that wants to emerge from this inner exploration.    In this world we share where everyone is rushing all the time, I invite the viewer to experience of sense of flow and a deep sense of their own personal insight and growth through the exploration of my paintings.    I hope that the viewer will walk away with a renewed capacity to view the world in a different way.   When I am not painting, I am teaching children with special needs.   Helping them find their artist-self is very rewarding for me.    I have been teaching Special Education for the Chicago Public Schools for 6 years.    My students bring to me the inspiration to teach and to expand in my artwork.
