I was told to fit my kids into my lifestyle, a goal that was not always easy or possible. I have spent the last 14 years trying to merge my life as an artist with my life as a mother of four children. For that reason, I incorporate accessible materials like pencils, oil pastels, and water-based oil paints, which do not require turpentine or much preparation time. I have worked in my little cocoon I call home. Now, as my children are getting older, I have decided to devote more time to my art, which includes getting my artwork out into the world.
