I’ve always collected random objects because I was drawn to them for one reason or another. I use these objects along with other intriguing images in constructions that become meaningful only because of their symbiotic association. This whole, which is symbolic, represents the inner and outer self.

I usually start out without a preconceived idea of the finished piece. I let the objects and images interact with one another to build the scenario. I prefer working 3-dimensionally versus 2-dimensionally because the element of physical space imparts a unique characteristic on the overall construction - a personal interaction between the art and the viewer.
