"My career in photography began in earnest at the University of Iowa School of Art.   From there I began to travel out west, mostly to California and Colorado.   I am still traveling with my Nikon F4 in hand and recently spent 3 months in Luanda, Angola which has been devastated by 25 years of civil war.   There are still a million land mines buried across the country.   The population is 80% below the age of 18 and mangled adults lay in the streets of Luanda.

In sharp contrast are my photos of San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago."

Robert's photographic work has recently been published and copies of the book will be available during the reception at SEE Eyewear on May 19, 2007 (3-5 pm).
