Evanston drama teacher and artist Tanya Sugarman expands her artistic vision with this exciting body of new work. Using scissors and beautiful handmade papers from around the world, Tanya creates inspiring compositions based on myth and vision. Drawing from over 20 years experience as a drama specialist in Evanston School District #65, Tanya weaves elements from mask making, shadow puppet making, scenery and costume design into this new visual creative framework. Tanya’s work integrates myth, storytelling, and journeys in dream-time into a unique and evocative visual feast.
